This tour takes you to the two highlights of Rio: Corcovado and Sugar Loaf! Tour starts with the pickup at your hotel and heads to a quick stop at a tipycal fruit Market called “feira livre”, where you have the opportunity to feel and try some of the brazilian flavors, like “caju”, “água de coco”, “tapioca”, “pastel”, “caldo de cana” and more… Next stop is the XIX century station to board the electric cogwheel train to the 710 meters high Corcovado mountain, where the statue of Christ The Redeemer was built, back in 1931 and today, is one of the new 7 Wonders of the world! After a 20 minutes ride through Tijuca National park, will arrive at the top just where the fantastic 30 meters high statue looks over the marvellous city and reveals an astonishing 360º view of Rio! Next stop are the colorful Selaron steps, the 1750 aqueduct and the Metropolitan Cathedral of São Sebastião of Rio de Janeiro, at Lapa district. The tour continues on a panoramic visit to the world famous Maracanã soccer stadium and the Sambadrome stadium, especially project by the world famous brazilian architect Oscar Niemeyer, in 1984 to host the official Carnival parades. Last stop will be at Urca neighborhood, where the 396 meters high granite monolith, so called Sugar Loaf mountain rests imposing for about 600 millions years. After riding the cable car, you will be able to enjoy an amazing view of the shore of Rio de Janeiro, downtown, Gloria bay, Flamengo, Botafogo and Copacabana beaches. Then, tour heads back to your hotel.
